Form FC-GPR is the RBI reporting for shares issued by an Indian company to a foreign investor (foreign direct investment). It must be filed on the RBI's FIRMS portal within 30 days of allotment of the shares.

The filing needs supporting documents — including the valuation certificate establishing that the issue price meets the FEMA pricing floor, the FIRC/KYC from the remitting bank, and a company secretary certificate. Late filings go through the Late Submission Fee route.

If you are raising from foreign investors, plan the valuation report and banking paperwork before allotment so the 30-day clock never becomes a problem.
